Tasks: Review and administration
of Facade Improvement Program including working directly with
applicants, architects and the Director.
If you like any of the following, you would
enjoy being on this committee:
- Needed landscape designers, artists, gardeners,
- Meeting with property and business owners to discuss
design projects,
- Implementing a cohesive design strategy for the district,
- Active involvement in the storefront improvement grant
process,
- Developing public art and streetscape projects.
Goals for 2006:
- Develop and create public art projects and other amenities
to make the local shopping experience more attractive,
- Spur greater private investment in the district by directly
engaging property owners,
- Drive business recruitment efforts with creation of physically
attractive locations,
- Develop plans for creation of green space in the district
and better the directional way-finding signage for pedestrians.
